They have a fresh, clean, “green” flavor, significantly more than their string bean counterparts. But because they do taste similar to string beans and share the commonality of taking on versatile flavors of recipes, haricot vert can be used interchangeably with string beans.

Haricot uses... Blanch, steam, braise, or even stir-fry. They are thin and delicate so they don’t require a lot of cooking time. Make sure to trim the ends.
